How to find the best fall door hanger ideas

Wondering what’s on trend this season? Just Google “trendy fall color palettes” or “trendy fall door hangers” to help you find what you’re looking for. 

I also want to point out a personal favorite that has helped me plan my fall designs this year. 

The Pantone color trend report for fall is typically used for fashion, but here’s the thing: trends in fashion tend to bleed into home decor trends.

By noticing what’s happening there, you can see what will be popular, and can even find a new color palette you like.

This year, earthy tones seem to be back in! You can view the whole report here, but here are my two favorites.

Trending door hanger ideas for fall 2024

Now, when it comes to trending themes for fall, the “core” always stays the same — think pumpkins or Thanksgiving. However, how you see them designed can be different from year to year. 

Here are some of our new, trending templates from our shop to give you a feel for what’s popular right now!

Pumpkins and gourds

This pumpkin wreath shows a modern twist on an old classic. But if you’re not crazy about the rainbow, you can always swap out the colors for a palette you like!

Autumn leaves

Autumn leaves are another must-have when it comes to fall designs. 

This 3D sunflower features one of Pantone’s colors of the season (Aventurine, a neutral teal), so it’s super trendy. And I love how it pairs with the yellow!

Every fall trend in one. This pumpkin bucket is so easy to make and has a modern but whimsical feel!

Halloween

Of course, it wouldn’t fall without Halloween. You can opt to be spooky or cutesy, but whatever your style, we’ve got something for you in the shop!

A haunted house globe that gives you all those classic Halloween elements. 

It’s disco meets Halloween! If you want a more trendy, cutesy design, this disco ball Halloween door hanger has enough sparkle for you!

Thanksgiving classics

A Thanksgiving design with a subtle print. It’s also super easy to paint!

This eat, drink, and be thankful design is great for those who like a more classic design. 

Like a boho look? This give thanks design is the perfect blend of tradition and trendy, with muted colors. 

Don’t forget the scarecrow! It has loads of fun details, like splatter paint and spackle to add texture. If you’re looking for a door hanger challenge, this may be it!

Traditional fall designs

We can’t forget those classic fall elements, right? 

It’s easy to change the colors on this fall mum if you want to alter the colors. I’ve personally tried both red and white, but any color your heart desires will do!
