Door Hanger of the Day

This is such a fun post idea that I even do on my own social media pages! Everyday I post either a door hanger I have painted or someone in my community has painted. This is a great filler post on those days when you can’t find content to post or have exhausted yourself on ideas. Plus, you might even get some sales on a door hanger or door hanger remix that customers haven’t seen before!

Team Introductions

Whether you’re a one man or woman show or you have a team of helpers, take some time to introduce yourselves on social media. Do some “Meet the Maker” posts where you tell your audience about yourself, how you got started, your favorite paint colors, tools, or more! Use this time to ask your audience a question so that they will engage with your post.

Behind the Scenes/What You’re Working On

As a door hanger business owner, you know that there is so much more to the behind the scenes than what is seen on social media. Take some time to create some posts of what your business looks like behind the scenes. Here are some ideas of what that could look like:

  • Take a photo of paint options and let your audience pick which ones to use on a project.
  • Record a time-lapse video of you painting a door hanger.
  • Show your shipping station, even if it’s the kitchen table!
  • Share about your favorite tools that you use to create with.

Go Live on Facebook

As intimidating as it may seem, going live on Facebook is a great way to create engaging content with your audience! If you’ve been following along with me for a while, you know that I go live on my Facebook page every Tuesday and paint a door hanger with my audience. It is so much fun to engage with people while I paint live and build relationships that way. If you’re needing some encouragement to go live on Facebook, check out my blog post, “How to Conquer Facebook Live.”

If you aren’t ready to paint live on Facebook, maybe you can take advantage of the Facebook Live feature by showing off door hangers that are done and shouting out the customers who bought them. This will have customers excited to watch and engage with your Facebook Live, and the more engagement on your posts the more eyes you’ll get on your Facebook page.
