Organize Digital Template Files Using Folders on Your Computer
If you save digital template files on your computer, separating them into folders will make them easily accessible when you need them. I recommend labeling your folders based on the holiday, category, or season that they fall under. Proper labeling of folders is key to organizing digital template files as the labels are what help keep everything where it should go.
Organize and Store Digital Templates Online
Looking for ways to store digital template files without using up the space on your computer? Consider storing them online using cloud based services such as Google Drive or Dropbox. If you have a Gmail account then you have access to Google Drive which comes with 15 GB of free storage. Dropbox is another option for storing digital templates online, however it doesn’t offer as much storage for free. The basic Dropbox account offers 2 GB of storage for free then you can purchase different storage options for a monthly or annual fee.
Using a Flash Drive to Organize Digital Templates
I know of many people that organize their digital templates by using a flash drive. A flash drive connects to the USB port of your computer so that your files aren’t being stored using your computer’s storage space. You could organize a flash drive with various folders and labels as well so that you always know where things are. If you choose to organize with a flash drive, just be sure that you don’t lose it and lose access to all of your templates.
Add an Email Label to Purchase Emails
If you purchase your digital templates online more often than not, you will get an email with the digital files delivered to you. You may decide to tag purchase emails with a label so that they are in a specific folder in your email. When you’re looking for a certain digital template file, you can go to your email and search using the label that you tagged the purchase receipt with.
