June is such a busy month for most families, but we managed to squeeze in some time to relax and paint together! We were so excited to have Lynda Brumfield (aka the Crafty Southern Belle) as our guest painter!
“My name is Lynda and I am also known as “The Crafty Southern Belle.” I paint door hangers and create hand drawn apparel in Southeast Louisiana. I have a wonderful husband, Eric, who supports me 100% in my creativity. We have been married for 6 years and have two daughters, Bayleigh and Olivia. It is so much fun teaching others how to create beautiful home decor and seeing the joy and pride on their faces makes my day!”
Lynda taught the group how to paint the cutest little sandcastle – check them out! If you’d like to paint a sandcastle of your own, you can get the template and digital cut file here and the blank here. Aren’t these the perfect door hangers for a fun, summer beach cottage feel?
This month, I taught the clubhouse how to paint this “LOVE USA” door hanger just in time for 4th of July porch decorating!
I was so impressed with the clubhouse gals this month! This LOVE USA template was a challenge to cut out! But those ladies took out their jigsaws and scroll saws and did it anyway! That is, after all, how we stretch ourselves and grow! If you feel like you wanna take the challenge, you can find the template and digital cut file here and the blank here. And if you love the design but don’t have time to paint one yourself, you can buy one of my ready-to-go painted door hangers here. It’s ready to hang for the fourth of July!
Take a look at their hard work with this USA piece:

Also, Christie Hawkins of The Social Easel taught us some handy tips for painting a mason jar and realistic looking hydrangea flowers! I can think of so many different projects where you could use this technique to add a natural floral garden touch.
Don’t miss out on our monthly club’s tips and tricks! If you’re interested in joining the Painter’s Clubhouse, you can go here to find out more and get on the wait list! It’ll be reopening again soon 2019!
