Where Do You Buy Your Blanks?

The majority of the time I cut my own door hangers with the RevolutionPly I purchase from Lowes. It’s a 1/4” or 5mm Poplar Plywood Underlayment. I actually wrote a whole blog post on choosing the right wood for door hangers. It’s a great resource if you want a little more information on the type of wood to use and what to look for specifically in each piece.

If you prefer not to cut your own door hangers, you can actually visit the “Wood Blanks” section of my shop. There are a ton of wooden blanks to choose from. All of the blanks are made from MDF and ready to paint. They come in 6”, 8”, 12”, or 20” options depending on how you want to use your finished project.

What Are Your Favorite Painting Tools?

My Favorite Paint

Where Do You Get Your Ribbon?

I highly recommend finishing your door hanger off with a pretty bow. The key to a good bow is good ribbon, and good ribbon can be hard to find. It’s even more difficult to find unique patterns and colors. If you need a good place to purchase ribbon, go see what Deco Exchange has in stock.
